1) What is Z-HomeProtect?
Z-HomeProtect provides you with coverage for loss or damage to your
building and/or contents solely used for residential purposes only
caused by the perils mentioned in the policy.
2) Who is eligible for Z-HomeProtect?
Z-HomeProtect is offered to all home owners.
3) What are the coverage and benefits
under Z-HomeProtect? Coverage and
benefits of Z-HomeProtect is provided under 2 different sections. You
can opt for Section I or II or both for a more comprehensive plan.
Please refer to Schedule of Benefits on page 2 and 3 in the brochure for
the coverage and benefits provided under each section.
4) How do I determine my coverage?
For Building, you are advised to insure based on the cost of rebuilding
the property, including all renovations, fixtures and fittings. For
Contents, you are advised to insure the total value of all your home
contents, which means personal and household belongings of every
description belonging to you and any member of your family normally
residing with you.
5) What is Agreed Value?
Agreed Value is an amount calculated using Zurich Agreed Value
Calculator to determine the Sum Insured against loss or damage to your
Building. NOTE: Please notify us if you renovate your insured premise
which increases or decreases the built-up area.
6) Does the plan cover my jewelry?
YES, subject to total value not exceeding 1/3 of the total sum insured
7) Is there a limit to item insured?
Item insured is subject to a limit of 10% of the total sum insured on
8) Are there any exclusions?
YES, no benefit shall be payable under the following circumstances:-
- War, civil war and any act of
- Subsidence and landslip, Riot strike
& malicious damage, Damages caused by bush / lalang fire; UNLESS
these perils are included with additional premiums
- Spontaneous combustion
- Radioactive and nuclear energy risks
- Consequential loss; except for Rent
