DEFINITION OF THE DREAD DISEASE -

30.  MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE

Motor neurone disease of unknown aetiology is characterised by progressive degeneration of corticospinal tracts and interior horn cells or bulbar efferent neurones, leading to spinal muscular atrophy or progressive bulbar palsy or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or primary lateral sclerosis.

Claims shall only be admitted if the condition is confirmed by a neurologist registered in Malaysia/Singapore, acceptable to the Company, as progressive and resulting in irreversible damage to the nervous system.
